Do I Need Buildings and Contents Insurance?

Whilst it is a legal requirement to have buildings insurance in place when your property is mortgaged and for the cover to stay on risk for the full term of the mortgage, contents insurance is not mandatory.

However, it is worth considering if you could financially afford to rebuild your house or replace all your contents.
